Inspiring and informative,
I’ve been interested in the ideas of Gann since I first heard about him and saw this book mentioned on a commercial site. It is tricky to categorise as it deals both with explaining Gann’s ideas and the author’s search for them.
The book can be clumsy in how it is written, there is a lot of wandering from topic to topic, but the story carries you along regardless. If you’re familiar with the works of Gann you will understand the feelings of almost mysticism associated with them and this come across.
There are many interesting ideas in the book, not just for trading but also for how people should work towards goals. It is like a strange blend of “The Secret”, “Reminiscences of a Stock Operator” (my favourite trading book!) and “The Alchemist”.
It includes a lot of excerpts from Gann’s trading courses and letters to students which are great to read and the writer explains the hidden meaning behind a lot of the phrases used.
Well worth a read!
