Question by MEnMA: Large master bedroom, single sink in tiny master bath. Major expense to change bathroom. Increase sale price?
To change the master bath would be a major expense due to the current arrangement. Is it worth it at selling time to have added a second sink and 3 extra feet of space?

absolutely. You have to think in terms of what you are competing with on the market. If you’re doing it anyway it doesn’t cost much more at all to add just little bit more space even, to give the room a more spacious feeling.

The two biggest improvements you can make when selling a house are upgrading the kitchen and/or bathroom. A buyer doesn’t want to work on plumbing or anywhere that water is involved. So when they see the work is already done for them, it’s a big selling point.
Yes, it could cost quite a bit but you can get it back when selling. Everybody loves a bigger bathroom and double sinks. Go for it!
Bathrooms and kitchens sell houses. I think that a buyer would appreciate the extra sq. footage and more usable layout. In terms of a small bathroom, 3 feet is a lot!
I agree with all…but, I’d love to see you really upgrade w/something like granite countertops. Don’t go cheap w/outdated faux marble tops. You’ll get your money back plus much more.
